Who is Audrey?

My grandmother Audrey Ellison was a brilliant writer and renowned cook. She believed in home remedies and fed us from her garden.

I spent my early years of life with her learning what lessons the Earth had to give. She was kind, wise, feisty, magnetic, and protective. If she was here I’m sure she’d be in my ear and by side. I honor her memory by using my recipes to help mend the broken bodies, minds, and souls of all who use my products. I want to use Earth’s wonders to help others in ways we couldn't help her. My greatest dream is that those of you reading this are inspired to invest in your bodies. My greatest hope is that your loved ones can prolong their lives, with great quality, and that they THRIVE.

 Who Is Audrey?

Our Founder’s Story.

A Letter From Our Founder.

I (Sohjè Johson) am the proud Founder of Audrey’s Cabinet. Who I am today is built on my yesterday —everything before this moment made me perfect for this community Service. As a child, I read my mom’s medical books; in college, I spent my time as a Research Assistant. I worked in labs absorbing everything that I could; Inputting data those four years would become the foundation of my confidence in my ability to heal myself.

At 19, I was diagnosed with asthma, eczema, hypoglycemia, chronic insomnia and migraines,  Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), and Endometriosis; these ailments crippled my quality of life. By 30, I’d had major surgery; suffered from countless allergic reactions to hormonal treatments; and undergone chemotherapy to try and help.  Nothing I did was working. I experienced uncontrollable body odor, constant sweating,  persistent acne, imbalanced hormones, and developed a dependence on pain pills. To this day, I have lasting side effects from the variety of treatments I underwent.

My story is real. However, what's important is that I documented it all. While undergoing modern medicines tests and treatments, I began experimenting on myself trying to find viable alternatives.

Today, I am proud to call myself an explorer, a teacher, a chemist, and —above all —healed. I am a witness to the healing powers of using both the Earth’s wonders and my grandma’s wisdom together. I began challenging myself; I wanted to make my own “medicine cabinet” full of herbs that I could trust. This evolved into helping my friends and family develop theirs.

As the testimonials grew, as I got better, as my community gave me support —I realized, “I can make a difference”. I started Audrey’s Cabinet wanting to help.  My mission is to present you with natural alternatives to harmful commercial products; I’ve started this mission by focusing on our largest organ —the skin.

Created for myself out of necessity, now available with love and thoughts of you, with great pleasure I present my first line and labor of love…. “Omni Black”.
